Aidan Sezer signs for Huddersfield Giants from Canberra Raiders
Australian half-back Aidan Sezer has been signed by huddersfield from Canberra Raiders on a deal.
The 28-year-old brings over 150 looks and has been a key target for head coach Simon Woolford – including the 2019 NRL grand final.
Sezer declared himself delighted with the move and is now planning to help the club improve in their 10th place finish.
“It has been a drawn-out process for most of the year, however to own it all done is an excellent relief,” he said.
“Obviously it was a disappointing campaign last year for the Giants but also the ambition of the club and also the team is exciting. I am actually looking forward to getting over there and with a successful effort in 2020.”
Woolford included:”I’m thrilled to finally get the news of Aidan Sezer’s signing out as it’s been a very long procedure.
“Everybody knows he had been my preferred pick in the vital half-back area but to receive a present NRL Grand Finalist over here at the prime of his career is really a huge increase for the Giants along with the game as a whole.
“With over 150 career games in the NRL and experience of finals football, his pedigree speaks for itself and he will be a real asset for the group.”
