‘Anthony Joshua v Tyson Fury a fight everyone wants’ – Eddie Hearn
Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn says he”will do everything it takes” to arrange a unification fight with Tyson Fury since”everybody needs it”.
After Fury beat Deontay Wilder on Sunday to claim the WBC title the heavyweights hold all the belts of the division between them.
“I guarantee you this fight will happen,” Hearn told Sky Sports.
“We think we win the fight, they believe that they win the fight, so let us see it.”
However, the immediate prospect of this fight hinges on the truth Wilder has 30 days to invoke a clause in his contract and gets the option of a rematch with Fury.
Hearn says if that occurs then Joshua will confront Kubrat Pulev at a compulsory IBF bout to hold the fight June.
However, Hearn says”everybody’s preference” would be for Joshua to combat Fury in the summertime and not”November or December”, with the choice available to”make Pulev wait”.
“He [Joshua] phoned me yesterday, he said:’how do we make this fight happen?’ I said ,’look firstly this hinges on Wilder’.
“If we have to struggle Pulev, we have got to beat Pulev, and when he [Fury] must fight Wilder, he’s got to conquer Wilder again, and each of those things will take place.”
