Australia v Pakistan: David Warner & Marnus Labuschagne hit back-to-back centuries
David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne equally scored a second consecutive century as Pakistan was dominated by Australia on day one of the second Test in Adelaide.
Their partnership of 294 watched 302-1 is reached by Australia at stumps using Warner on Labuschagne and 166 on 126.
Australia, who lead the show 1-0and 300, handed despite a rain-affected launching day in.
They scored 163 runs for the tourists at a session that was chastening.
“Credit to Marnus for how he came out and took the bowlers on , he picked up where he left off in the Gabba,” said Warner.
“We’re just thrilled to make it through that tonight and wish to come out tomorrow and then put a few more runs on the board.”
Labuschagne, who struck 185 in the very first Test of the series, has now scored more Test runs in 2019 in the planet, his own tally of Steve Smith placing him ahead of 793.
