Bags Groove ruled out of Peterborough Chase
The chaser was aimed at Huntingdon’s feature race of the year, but has met with a setback.
Trainer Harry Fry stated:”He probably won’t be viewed until the new year. He needs ground that is better anyway, but we are held up together along with him.
“We’d allowed the Peterborough Chase for him, but regrettably that is not likely to take place. We’ll just be patient and allow him to come right and move from there.”
Unbeaten stablemate Get In The Queue, who provided a winner to Noel Fehily in Newbury last year, can be on the easy list.
“He is still recuperating with (owners) Paul and Clare Rooney’s running manager, Jason Maguire,” Fry said of the three-time bumper winner.
“I think that they are pleased enough with all his advancement, but there are no plans just yet. If he comes in the campaign It’s still up in the atmosphere.
“Only when the horse is prepared will he come back to training.”
