Bears vs Lions: Week 13 NFL Thanksgiving Picks & Game Predictions
After finishing the Chicago Bears came. They have a young QB and also a head coach in addition to the best defense in the NFL. However, the portion of their team which has stayed consistent is their defense. The Bears offense is a catastrophe and Mitch Trubisky has become among the most maligned quarterbacks in the NFL. He has ranked 30th in both quarterback evaluation and QBR. That simply isn’t good enough for a group that expects to challenge for a name. In addition, it is not good to get a participant the anglers traded around get. The fact that Trubisky was taken by Chicago over Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson is also looking like it could prove to be among the greatest blunders in franchise history. Nobody can doubt that when this team had either one of these two players, they’d be one of the best in the NFL playing with this extraordinary defense.
Instead the Bears are 5-6 with essentially no chance of making the match. If they win their remaining games all, they’d finish the season look like it may be good enough for at least a wild card spot. There are just two problems with that scenario. First of all, both the Packers and the equally have 8 wins each. So the odds that either of these teams win less than 2 from their final 5 games is not likely to happen. Another problem which is probably the larger problem is the remaining schedule that is Bears. Following this Thursday’s game against the Lions, the Bears play with the Cowboys, Packers, Chiefs and Vikings. They aren’t going undefeated in the stretch, especially considering Vikings and that the Packers games are all on the street.
The Chicago Bears encounter this game against the Detroit Lions (12:30 P.M ET/FOX) as favorites . The temptations are without franchise QB Matt Stafford yet the line opened in a Select’em. This opening point is it, if you wanted any more proof that the public has totally given upon Trubisky. The Total started at 41 and has been bet down to 38 with action coming on the Under. Most stores now have exactly the Bears at -3.5 that appears to be a whole lot to lay with this very inconsistent group. Not only that, the Lions backup Jeff Driskel is currently enjoying with the Bears to get
The second time in 3 months and seemed much more comfy in Chicago a couple weeks ago than you would have anticipated. Do not be surprised to see the ball is moved by him and pick up first downs along with his ability to battle.
I can’t place money on a quarterback against one of the league’s elite defenses. That said, this really is such a 50-50 contest for me if I took the line at 3.5, I’d take the things with Detroit because of the hook. That is how little faith I have in the Bears right now. The reason I am even considering Chicago inside this area is that the implications.
I mentioned their brutal staying schedule after this one. If they lose to the Lions having a QB, what’s the outlook for the rest of the year? Not to say a win against the Lions means they will go on some sort of run. What I am stating is that a loss here will diminish the bar for how mediocre this team actually is. It also sets up a situation where they could realistically complete the year for a 5-11 team. If this occurs, nobody’s job is safe at the stage, including year head coach Matt Nagy. The Bears should be playing in this Thanksgiving game which is the reason I lean Chicago -3 in this spot because of their job security.
