Conor McGregor to make UFC return against Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in January 2020

The Irishman affirmed last month he would return into the Octagon on January 18, 2020 at Las Vegas, Nevada but didn’t disclose that he would be coming up instead stating:”I have the opponent’s name… if I was to give you his name, which I would like to perform, I understand the UFC would flip it”
But UFC president Dana White has announced McGregor will face Donald’Cowboy’ Cerrone in UFC 246 at a welterweight fight.
“Conor has signed and Cerrone is ready to proceed,” White told ESPN’s Brett Okamoto.
McGregor, with 21 wins and four losses on his MMA record, hasn’t fought in the UFC because he had been defeated by Khabib Nurmagomedov during entry in October 2018.
With a skirmish between McGregor, Nurmagomedov along with the fighters’ decks — the 31-year-old Irishman was a given suspension announced his retirement on social networking.
White, but was always convinced McGregor would return to battling in April he told Sport”McGregor will fight .”
The 36-year-old Cerrone includes a MMA listing of 36-13. His fight was lost by the American boxer to Justin Gaethje in September in the first round.

McGregor declared his retirement in April 2016 — that was rescinded by him following a month — and afterwards in the year became the first fighter to carry straps in two weight categories at exactly the identical time.
He could have just fought once in the UFC at the previous three years — he’d possess a boxing fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2017 — but McGregor hasn’t been far from the headlines.

A video released on websites in August appeared to show a guy in the head in the Marble Arch bar in Dublin to the Irishman punching.
