The Sky Sports pundit questioned whether Tottenham stopped from appointing Jose Mourinho Mauricio Pochettino to avoid the Gunners.
Wingrove proposed a counter-strike transfer:”Would Poch go to Arsenal? Can it be viewed as treacherous? I don’t believe it would, because he has been sacked.”

That move was supported by fellow pundit Paul Merson . “I know [Pochettino] managed Tottenham, but George Graham was at Arsenal and went the other way.
“These high quality managers don’t come too often, in which you do not even have to pay anything for them. Can I find it happening? No. If it happen? Yes.”
