Floyd Mayweather in UFC talks to ‘come out of retirement’ in 2020
Former five-weight boxing world champion Floyd Mayweather says he’s”coming from retirement at 2020″.
Mayweather, 42, made the announcement on websites following a previous message he had been in discussions with UFC president Dana White.
“Dana White and I are working collectively to bring the world another spectacular event in 2020,” he said.
Mayweather outing saw him win a display boxing game against Western kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa.
That fight occurred in December 2018 and the American needed only 140 seconds to beat his rival at a bout worth a reported $9m (#7m).
Mayweather also came from retirement in 2017 to beat at UFC fighter Conor McGregor from the Irishman’s first boxing match.
