Greg Olsen: Seattle Seahawks sign former Carolina Panthers tight end on one-year deal
Tight end Greg Olsen has joined the Seattle Seahawks to a deal, a month after leaving the Carolina Panthers.
The 34-year-old, who reached a mutual agreement to terminate his nine-year stay with the Panthers on January 30, has allegedly signed a deal worth $7m, with $5.5m guaranteed.
After getting a free agent, Olsen also reportedly visited the Buffalo Bills and the Washington Redskins.
The Seahawks struggled with Ed Dickson along with Will Dissly last year, for strength in depth.
Olsen broke numerous franchise records for tight ends in Carolina, such as getting yards (6,463), receptions (524) and 100-yard receiving games (10).
At the 2015 year, he helped the side to maintain the NFC Championship name to make a Super Bowl 50 berth.
