The Hawks’ crime has fallen off some within the last two road games. Will that continue on Saturday at Houston, or may Atlanta stay in this game long enough to be a viable play taking points?
If there’s been it’s that they actually miss John Collins. Suspended for 25 games due to a PED evaluation that was favorable, the Hawks are without their star guy for a while now, and they have been impacted by it .
Nowhere is that more obvious than on defense. Together with Collins about the court this season, the Hawks have a pretty remarkable defensive evaluation of 102.1. Without him about the court, that flies to 116.5.
Collins is out and without him, the Hawks are going to have a ton of trouble slowing the Rockets down. If their perimeter defense is breaking , not only are they missing one of centers that are small-ball and their bigs, but they also have rim protection on the end.
On the other hand, the Rockets are currently dealing with some issues that are defensive and that may play into a edge on this game.
The Rockets have had a hard time keeping their limbs this year that was healthy and it continues tonight. Clint Capela along with danuel House are doubtful, so that the Rockets will most likely be without two of the best defenders tonight.
House was going to spend some time trying to stay in front of Trae Young, so that task could be pushed in this one, in addition to a host of other Rocket defenders longer to Westbrook.
I’m not one to speculate however in this match, both these teams will likely be without the absence of Collins and Capela, in addition to House. The Rockets are playing a lot better defense lately, but that is due to the play of Capela. If he is not able to proceed tonight, then the Rockets could enter a competition with the Hawks that leads to a major decline in defense and a rise in pace.
The Rockets play at one of the fastest paces in the NBA and the Hawks aren’t too far behind either. Their paces Both get quicker in the first halves of the matches and considering the Hawks have one of their oddest defenses in the match, the Over resembles a first half value here.
Atlanta is letting 117.3 points per 100 possessions in their road first halves this year and within their past five games, they’re scoring nearly 60 first-half points along with allowing 57.
Considering the prospect of defense from the Rockets and an increased pace, in addition to this, I wouldn’t be surprised to view Atlanta try to match speed with all an Rockets that are undersized and force them to get into a track meet. Both teams possess some elite guard play along with a ton of possible that is three-point, therefore all this leads me to think that the Thanksgiving hangover can hit here tonight.
Considering Atlanta is coming off a back to back I can only imagine how poor their defense is going to be the farther.
My Pick: OVER 120.5 (-102) 1st Half with Pinnacle
Jordan’s NBA Picks: 19-15
