Jamie Redknapp and the F2 select KOTPL XI

The Kings of the Premier League show returned this Friday.

Pit stats for Kings using fans’ votes from gut whenever they compare results in the Power Rankings of the Match on the Premier League website.
This month, Smithy was joined by Jamie Redknapp and the freestylers Billy Wingrove and Jez Lynch, who revealed details of an upcoming project with soccer celebrity Ronaldinho.
So, how did the team unfold? Let’s begin involving the sticks…
Jamie kicked off proceedings with his company preferred out of the month of November:”I’ve gone with Nick Pope. He’s been consistent and made his England debut.
“Burnley have plenty of chances again them and he has made a great deal of critical saves. He’s the reason they have become the league”
Wingrove disagreed:”We went with Kasper Schmeichel, only because he hasn’t surrendered a goal in the whole of the month. He’s spared what he had to save” However, Lynch contested his F2 spouse:”Clean sheets are a team effort, in comparison to rescue.”
Jamie made the last call:”Actually Gareth Southgate gave [Pope] his full introduction shows what he believes about him. He’s good on the ball, came back from a terrible accident and in such great form. He deserves to be in the team of this month”
Selection: Nick Pope
All 3 guests were in agreement to add Caglar Soyuncu. “He’s been rock solid for Leicester,” said Jamie.
“All of a sudden, this man has come in and nobody is talking about Maguire at Leicester anymore. He had been immense such a presence, against Arsenal.
“And James Tarkowski. Burnley have picked up some outcomes that were important a 17, and they took a couple of beatings.
“The supervisor’s got them organized, and thought,’One thing is for sure, we’ve got to be great defensively’. And that’s what Tarkowski offers, and he’s a target threat too.”
Choices: James Tarkowski and Caglar Soyuncu
Lynch confessed that he and Wingrove”had this argument, prior to this debate”, but trapped with Leicester’s Ben Chilwell down the abandoned Liverpool’s Andy Robertson.
“I’ve gone with Chilwell, also,” added Jamie.” [England have] two left-backs that were outstanding. I adore [Chilwell’s] energy, his enthusiasm and the way he plays.
“He is not pleased to perform stand still, he is always shifting, a good crosser, off the ball. Having watched Leicester closely this past month, he just edges it for me personally .”
Despite his omission, Robertson actually led the Power Rankings graph for full-backs, together with Jamie adding:”Trent (Alexander-Arnold) and Robertson, I didnt think of a better pairing in Premier League history, even in terms of assists as well as what they do collectively.
“I have gone with Trent in right-back because he’s an wonderful player. I have never noticed a full-back want to participate in a lot. He chooses corners. He is such a gift and he has had a excellent month.”
However, Lynch picked Leicester’s Ricardo:”He is a powerhouse. You could go together with Ricardo, Soyuncu, Jonny Evans and Chilwell. That’s how well Leicester do .” Wingrove sided with his F2 spouse and was passed the casting vote.
Final choices: Ricardo and Ben Chilwell
When asked which midfielder was first alternative for selection, Jamie instantly pencilled at Sheffield United’s John Lundstram,”I really like a story like this,” he added.
“He had been at Oxford, and also to see him today from the Premier League, a midfield powerhouse, scoring goals, creating goals, comfortable on the ball, he looks like he’s been in the league for five years.
“There are players at the lower leagues which may perform in the Premier League but just need an opportunity. It is that little bit of perception. He’s got the manager in Chris Wilder. He’s the kind of guy you would not want to play against.”
With two places still up for grabs from the group, Jamie given James Maddison a berth. “He had been man of the match in the Arsenal game. I like his attitude. He’s got an arrogance, but a great arrogance. He’s cheeky.”
“[England] haven’t created enough gamers [like Maddison] within the previous 10 or 15 years that will get the ball on the half an hour and play forward.”
But the final place proved contentious, with Wingrove. “Being a pure enthusiast, that has been the main reason! I went a month with this but it is possible to observe signs he’s coming [to form].
Jamie added:”Dele was hurt a lot. Having had injuries ourselves, we occasionally expect gamers to return and get back to the level right away. It requires times.
“He’s 23 years old. At this period of his career, he’s scored more goals than Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and David Beckham. All the midfielders we speak about.
“Access in the box! If you have got that in your locker, there’s no trick that is greater. I think he has carried off to show us how good he really is. Look at players like Lampard. Frank did not worry about suggestions and flicks. He saw goals and obtained in the box.
“But, for me, we talk about Kevin De Bruyne, I don’t think it’s on the top to state he is a genius. His photos, A number of his crossing, his burden of pass. I love him! And if we’re not even getting him in this group, I am out!”
Final choices: James Maddison John Lundstram and Kevin De Bruyne
Wingrove immediately tried to shoehorn a second Spurs favourite:”We have got Heung-Min Son.” But Lynch quizzed:”We talked about this? Can we determine that, or is another Dele situation?”
“For me personally, Raul Jimenez,” said Jamie.” [His form] coincides with Wolves performing nicely. They fought in the start and now he’s scoring goals. Could we agree, since the F3?” he joked. Wingrove ceded:”If you take a look at the stats, then Jimenez has completely smashed it. He’s got to be in the team.”
The next choice was unanimous: Jamie Vardy. “I’m doing a masterclass [with Vardy] to the game on Sunday,” shown Redknapp. “I’m really enthusiastic about doing it. He just seems to be getting better and better. I Believe he’s a shout for Golden Boot”
The guests were also in agreement for the final spot. “Sadio Mane’s been smashing it,” said Lynch. “Did it all start with the outburst towards Mohamed Salah [against Burnley in August]? He’s stepped it up.”
Jamie inquired:”If you’re Jurgen Klopp and needed to sell Mane or Salah, who’d you sell at this time?”
“Lots of Liverpool fans have turned and Mane’s their favorite player now, and they watch week in and week out. I would go together,” responded Wingrove. “I would keep Mane, too,” agreed Jamie. “He gets a lot of significant goals at the moment.”
Selections: Jamie Vardy Raul Jimenez and Sadio Mane
The F2 selected Vardy since their King of the Month, but Jamie successfully transformed the duo to his line of thinking”I believe Jimenez has accepted his team, in a significant moment.
“We even talked about Wolves getting relegated because they had started so poorly, and he’s been instrumental and really hitting type. Wolves are flying the league and he’s my main man”
Final selection: Raul Jimenez
