Jerry Jones declares he’s a ‘Jason Garrett man’ following speculation over coach’s future
Along with the Detroit Lions,”America’s Team” are just one of both teams that perform on the national holiday each year.
And in 2019, after an inconsistent season, Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett could be more thankful than many to participate in their game against the Buffalo Bills.
But long-time owner Jerry Jonesoff the back of a loss to the New England Patriots and with speculation swirling about the future of their coaching staff, stays behind Garrett.
“The guy with the final say on who’s training this group at any given position, is my decision,” Jones advised Sport’s Coy Wire.
“Therefore, if I’m critiquing any portion of this football team, it is a review of me too. No, we’re not satisfied with having lost that match. No one actually is.
“However, we want to be at our best. So far as the coaches I withstand and stay with anybody. I am a Jason Garrett man. I’m famous for this.”
Garrett has been head coach of the Cowboys since 2011. Garrett was the Cowboys’ backup quarterback to their two Superbowl wins in 1996 and 1993.
The Cowboys’ album has them seated atop the AFC East and in prime location to get a playoff place.
But before Thursday’s showdown from the 8-3 Bills, the 77-year-old Jones states there is space for advancement.
“I need to win the soccer games, just as he and everyone else can. So, anything that I am frustrated about, should be interpreted as a way to get a little better edge and possibly do something about it”

One team that’s apparently playing in the peak of their powers is that the Baltimore Ravens while the Cowboys are looking to enhance.
The East Coast side have won the last seven matches and are quarterbacked by the MVP-frontrunner Lamar Jackson.
And for veteran safety Earl Thomas, it is of who they’ll be facing in the Superbowl as opposed to if they will make it.
“You think the 49ers are going to the Super Bowl? It could be, let’s see,” Thomas told reporters.
“We will just go out there and attempt to play with the best soccer we could possibly do. And when the Super Bowl comes, the ones we play, they’re likely to be in trouble.”

“We had a bird-seye perspective of him about one year ago and he was not this good,” Jones explained.
“He has worked and his trainers have worked and it’s only a shining example that God will give you all of the gifts but if you don’t the contributed to it, even if you don’t put the action to it, and the analysis and the tough work to it, it comes out.
“He is a byproduct of hard labour. It seems simple and very natural but that’s when you’ve been working the most difficult. I truly admire how far he has come in the last calendar year.”
