LA Lakers equal franchise record for best start to season with win over Washington Wizards
The LA Lakers equalled the record with a triumph over the Washington Wizards for the best start to the season in franchise history.
Anthony Davis scored 26 points and 13 rebounds while LeBron James made 23 points and 11 assists as the Lakers went 10 games .
That extends their start.
“That is the best team in basketball,” said Wizards coach Scott Brooks.
The Lakers’ unbeaten streak is their initial since the 2009-10 season in double digits, although they end November with a 14-1 record, their highest win total in a single month since March 2000.
“We’ve championship dreams, but that’s not what is here right now,” explained James. “What is this is our second competitor. We would like to continue to improve.
“We’ve got guys who’ve been there and understand what it takes. This can be a procedure that is lengthy, and we can never replicate it. But we could enjoy it along the way”
The Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks next play in the Staples Centre on Sunday.
