Man City vs Shakhtar Donetsk preview
Man City vs Shak Donetsk
Champions League Group C
8:00pm Tuesday November
Prediction as Manchester City, stats and team news face Shakhtar Donetsk at the Champions League.
Manchester City listing goalscorer Sergio Aguero will miss Tuesday’s Champions League clash having a knee injury with Shakhtar Donetsk at the Etihad Stadium.
The Argentina striker limped out of Saturday’s victory over Chelsea and unites left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko, Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane (all knee) on the sidelines.
Midfielders Rodri and David Silva are inserted after suffering cramp in the weekend and veteran goalkeeper Scott Carson will likely be on the seat.
Manchester City will be through into the knockout stage should they avoid defeat against Shakhtar – or when Dinamo Zagreb don’t beat against Atalanta.
City is going to be verified in first place if they win, or should they draw and Dinamo do not triumph.
I feel there are still issues at the back for City. What a game of football, although you could see that against Chelsea. I kept seeing Riyad Mahrez and he was great – Why did Pep Guardiola not take him off the seat at Anfield and let him run Andy Robertson? Against Chelsea, he kept going back and back – why did he take anybody on? He did it on a single event and scored, carrying on two players. Mahrez is a guy, although I understand Pep wants his players to maneuver it and enter different sections. You don’t take that from Raheem Sterling – . If he’s been brainwashed into the stats and also the fact that he can not give away the ball, I really don’t know.
Everybody wills concern, but I think Gabriel Jesus is prepared to come into the team anyhow. I really don’t see any threat here, although They’ll miss the caliber of Aguero. I’ve gone with 3-1 because there are still a few frailties at the back. City and Claudio Bravo may play as Ederson appeared a tad rusty against Chelsea, so it might give him time. They win the group, and then and they win this they can rest more bodies in the game, and that’s where this is likely.
CHARLIE PREDICTS: 3-1 (9/1 with Sky Bet)
