Marco Silva: Everton boss looks set to remain in charge for trip to Leicester
Everton manager Marco Silva took training as regular on Tuesday and today looks set to be in charge for Sunday’s Premier League trip.
Silva is fighting to get his job after Everton’s crucial boardroom employees held a meeting promptly following the 2-0 home defeat to examine his future.
Director of soccer Marcel Brands and chairman Bill Kenwright, majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri held further talks and talks were staged over the weekend.
It seems certain Silva’s reign at Goodison Park is coming to a close since there aren’t any immediate successors into Silva, but Everton’s plank could possibly be fire.
The suggestion of a return to former director David Moyes was met with a negative reaction from fans, that has been ported in their thinking.
Everton are 16th at the table and, after the trip to Leicester, face league matches.
In case Silva survives, he is offered the opportunity to pull off a shock effect which could earn him a stay of execution by a Merseyside derby against leaders Liverpool at Anfield on 4 December at least.
