Marco Silva sacked by Everton after Liverpool defeat
Marco Silva has been sacked by everton following Wednesday’s 5-2 defeat to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby left them from the Premier League.
Silva came in May 2018 and led Everton to a eighth-place finish last season – but they are currently on a run of one win in six and have only 14 points this year.
A range of applicants have been considered to take more than Silva with director David Moyes among those names on the record.
The Scot, who managed Everton out of 2002-2013, has been out of work since leaving West Ham in the summer of 2018.
Everton face a series of fittings over the festive period – facing Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City in their six league games and additionally hosting Chelsea on Saturday, before traveling to Anfield to face Liverpool in the FA Cup next round.
