Mauricio Pochettino sacked by Tottenham Hotspur

“The Club can now announce that Mauricio Pochettino and his training team Jesus Perez, Miguel D’Agostino and Antoni Jimenez were relieved of the duties,” said Tottenham in a statement on Tuesday.

“Regrettably domestic results in the conclusion of last year and start of this year are really disappointing,” said Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
“It falls into the Board to make the difficult decisions — that one created more given the many memorable moments we’ve had with Mauricio and his training staff — we do so in the Club’s best interests.
“Mauricio and his coaching team will be part of our history. I have the utmost admiration for the manner in which he coped with all the times away from a house floor positivity and also for the warmth he brought to us and whilst we constructed the new stadium.
“I should like to thank him personally and his coaching staff for all they’ve led. They will always be welcome here.”
