NBA Moneyline Upset Alert: Doncic & Mavs Will Clip L.A. On Tuesday
Strange that you can find just two matches on the NBA schedule of Tuesday currently believing the league is still going dark on Thanksgiving. An individual would believe that Tuesday’s slate could be occupied to make up for that day off leaguewide — although Wednesday includes 28 teams in action.
Don’t think a Wizards team could win in Denver at the later game of Tuesday so our select has become the Dallas Mavericks knocking off the visiting Los Angeles Clippers. Last year, these teams divide, but I take small since the Mavs are improved from 2018-19 and have Kristaps Porzingis this season, although the Clippers have Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
The home team has won all of their last nine meetings in the set. The four have been determined by single digits. Luka Doncic averaged 25.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists vs. L.A. last year. More on him below. The Mavericks will be 55-23 all-time at home against the Clippers.
The Clippers have to lose when they have Leonard and George in the courtroom. George missed the start of the year recovering from offseason operation, while Leonard missed a few games with a knee injury. Past week, they eventually debuted together.
It must be noted the Clippers play again Wednesday in Memphis and that Leonard is not likely to play in both ends of a back-to-back all season. So obviously Leonard could sit out this one. If Coach Doc Rivers selects to sit George in one of both games Do not surprise me, either.
L.A. moves onto a five-game winning streak, though all of those were at home. The Clips were in action Sunday vs. New Orleans and won easily 134-109. The best player for the Clippers because one wasn’t George or even Leonard book ahead Montrezl Harrell since he tied his career high with 34 points while adding 12 rebounds. The Clippers have by far the NBA’s best bench with him and Lou Williams, who had 19 points. Williams leads the NBA in scoring one of reservations and Harrell is fourth.
Leonard had 26 points but was a bit off in shooting 7-for-19, from the area. George also fought some with 18 points. Nine points with George outscored los Angeles on the courtroom and from three with Leonard on it. The Pelicans were outscored by the Clips from 30 points at Harrell’s 28 minutes. L.A. is outscoring teams a mean of 120.6-104.2 during the winning streak.
Good as Leonard and George both are, that they won’t be the player on the ground Tuesday. That would be Maverick Luka Doncic, who also is a MVP candidate and has been nothing short of spectacular this season although not being 21 years old however.
Doncic direct the NBA in triple-doubles using seven and a week became the second-youngest participant in league history (LeBron James) using a 40-point triple-double. Doncic today has six and has five 30-point triple-doubles in 2019-20. That is the triple-doubles with a player prior to turning 21 in NBA history.
In Sunday’s 137-123 win in Houston, Dallas’ fifth straight triumph, Doncic had 41 points and 10 assists to become the next player in league history (LeBron) with numerous 40-point, 10-assist matches in a profession before turning 21.
The Phoenix Suns shot Deandre Ayton at No. 1 overall at the 2018 draft, the Sacramento Kings Marvin Bagley in No. 2 and the Atlanta Hawks Doncic in No. 3 but then immediately traded him to Dallas to the draft rights to Trae Young, who moved No. 5 year. These guys are very good players, but those three groups blew it by not shooting Doncic (or keeping them in Atlanta’s situation ) instead.
Porzingis is currently looking better and better daily. He had 23 points and 13 assists his game in the six, against the Rockets . Doncic and Porzingis are the Mavs are 11-5 and directing the Southwest Division. Dallas is not a risk to win against the West quite yet but may be with possibly one more significant addition.
We think the house team trend continues Tuesday and you probably want to bet this ASAP before Leonard or even George is formally ruled out (presuming one does sit) as which can move the amount.
