Newcastle United 2-2 Man City: Late Jonjo Shelvey strike holds champions

Jonjo Shelvey stepped up with an emphatic late equaliser as additional points were surrendered by champions Manchester City at St James’ Park in the Premier League title race.

Manchester City, who move above Leicester on targets, could drop 11 points behind leaders Liverpool should Jurgen Klopp’s side conquer Brighton.
