Pep Guardiola ‘open’ to new Manchester City contract
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is”receptive” to the idea of a fresh contract with the Premier League champions.
The Spaniard also signed a contract extension this past year until 2021 and was appointed in 2016.
No discussions have yet been held with City chiefs, but Guardiola said:”I’m so comfortable working on this bar.
“When you’re [somewhere for] five decades it depends on the outcomes. We’ll find out what happens this season and next year.”
Guardiola spent four years at Barcelona in charge, winning La Liga three occasions and also the Champions League twice.
The Catalan giants were left by him and also a short sabbatical started a spell at Bayern Munich in 2013, winning the Bundesliga.
Having won the Premier League for the last two seasons, and also the FA Cup and two League Cups, Guardiola said of remaining :”I am receptive [for it], yes. It isn’t about what the club wants or not. For me, I need to see the response of what and my own players and my players.
“It is not quite as simple as I need to extend. I would like to find the club, so I wish to observe the gamers, I need to see how we are still working.
“This is definitely the most essential thing after five decades together. You need to feel as though we could do it together and enjoy to work together.”
