Pep Guardiola says Mikel Arteta will be a manager in future
Pep Guardiola admits his current Manchester City helper Mikel Arteta will become a supervisor”sooner or later” amid connections into the Arsenal task.
The rising speculation on the future of Arsenal head trainer Unai Emery has led to disagreement over who can replace him.
Arteta is the bookmakers’ favourite to go back to the club at which he spent five seasons – two of these – after spending over three decades on the training staff of Guardiola.
He was in the running to replace Arsene Wenger before the appointment of Emery and Guardiola suggested he’s unsure whether City could maintain hold of Arteta if a managerial opportunity presented itself.
“Unai Emery is the director of Arsenal,” said Guardiola.” [However ] naturally [Arteta] will be. We’re likely to finish the year but in the long run I do not know what is currently going to take place.
“I’d like him to stay with us. Manchester City has a person of value that is amazing to function here in the future. But professional desires are professional desires. Everybody is satisfied to have him here.
“He was an extraordinary player. The midfielder has a vision of what happens on the pitch. When you’re a striker you think of their aims and’keepers to save it.
“But I believe the holding midfielder is an incredible lesson during your time for a football player. You do not have to visit school.
“More than that he is an amazing human being and works a good deal. After a couple of months he would be a manager, I said. He’s a manager – he behaves like a supervisor.”
Pep Guardiola says Sergio Aguero will be out for a”couple of weeks” because of the muscle injury he sustained against Chelsea.
Aguero’s harm will rule him from the derby against Manchester United on Saturday, December 7, now live on Sky Sports.
Guardiola’s side face 10 matches in five weeks since they bid to shut the gap that is nine-point as well as secure progress in Carabao Cup and the Champions League.
“It’s the toughest period happening now,” Guardiola explained.
“it is a good deal of matches but it’s what it is. My advice to my players as well as myself is not to think. We have enough great players along with the mentality will give us extra. Maybe it helps us.
