Rhys Webb: Wales scrum-half joins Bath until end of season
Wales scrum-half Rhys Webb has joined Bath for the season’s remainder.
Side was left by webb Toulon month after they decided to discharge him from his contract.
It was subsequently declared that he would go back in the end of the season – to former team Ospreys – in which he started his career.
But Webb will spend the rest of the year manager of Baseball Stuart Hooper has verified.
Hooper explained:”We are really excited to be bringing in an international talent to join the group, and to bring some depth and quality to our scrum-half position at this crucial period of the season, and also after dropping Max Green past month.
“Obviously there will be some familiar faces for him here, and a registering of the calibre is something that I know will be welcomed with the group. I’m sure he’ll settle in quickly and that I understand he’s currently looking for some game time.
“We’re anticipating getting him at the Blue, Black and White and out in the front of our fans at the Rec.”
Webb, who has 32 caps for Wales, can be available to feature Bath in this Sunday’s match against Bristol Bears.
Webb has once more become available for choice for Wales, since leaving Toulon.
Webb returned to play for Wales in their opening game of the Six Nations as they beat Italy 42-0 in new head coach Wayne Pivac’s first competitive game in charge.
