Roy Hodgson warns Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster over Crystal Palace loan

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has cautioned Liverpool child Rhian Brewster he would not be ensured match time if he had to connect on loan in January.
Even though he has just made the seat for a single Premier League fixture, the 19-year-old forwards’s just two appearances this year have come in the Carabao Cup.
Speculation has grown Liverpool director Jurgen Klopp will look at enabling Brewster to go out on loan when the transfer window opens in the start of January, but only when there is a guarantee of minutes for the England youth international.
“He is a fantastic player, there is no doubt about this,” Hodgson said. “The one thing that would concern me there is I really don’t know how many bonded games [he would get].
“If I was planning to talk to Jurgen and he had been planning to speak to me about,’I want Rhian Brewster to go out on loan and also perform some matches’ I’m not 100 percent sure I could assure him that he would be the first name on the team sheet.
“So I’m not 100 per certain that will do anything other than be helpful for us in terms of having another player who might come from time to time and certainly help us out.
“But if I had been Jurgen Klopp and Rhian Brewster,” I think I’d wish to be heading someplace where I had been the first name on the team sheet, and that I could assure that between January and May I would be playing 20 matches.”
The former England manager has shown his ability to cultivate young talent in the past, especially when Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek joined in 2017 to a season-long loan Even with Hodgson’s warning to Brewster.
Having failed to break in the Chelsea first team, left his breakthrough under the direction of Hodgson for both club and country after a successful campaign.
Palace have fallen after failing to secure a triumph during a streak of five fixtures against the division’s leading sides, which has emphasized the need for reinforcements at January.
“We are very aware of where there are openings in our squad that we need to fill or to make certain we get better cover,” Hodgson said.
“I can assure all our fans that conversations are constantly taking place and that function is constantly happening, but we will have to wait and see when January comes about what is there and what we all can actually purchase.”
