Saracens’ England World Cup stars set to return against Bath
Saracens’ full England contingent are all set to reunite when they begin their bid for Gallagher Premiership survival bidding against Bath.
Friday’s trip to the Recreation Ground is the first league match since accepting a 35-point Fund along with #5.36m good for violating salary cap regulations, leaving them 26 points adrift of safety.
Jack Singleton, Jamie George, George Kruis, Elliot Daly and also mako Vunipola have played since returning in the World Cup and Billy Vunipola, Maro Itoje along with Owen Farrell are ready to unite them after finishing Saturday’s Champions Cup rout of their Ospreys.
When asked if the returning trio will start against Bath, director of rugby Mark McCall explained:”I think so, yes.
“They’re all good to go. Aside from our long-term injuries – therefore Liam Williams, Alex Goode, Michael Rhodes, Juan Figallo and Max Malins – everybody else is available for selection this weekend.
“The England players are great since coming in. They are in great spirits, surprising to a. There’s a sense of togetherness and unity there.
“We talked a lot last week concerning the situation we were at and we decided as a team we would draw a line under the salary cap issue and get on with the job in hand.
“It’s what we’re paid to do and what we’re going to perform.”
