Steve Bruce has faith in Newcastle’s misfiring attackers

Steve Bruce is confident despite scoring only one goal between them in 57 hours of football to your club, his # 81m Newcastle strike-force that is misfiring will get it .
The Magpies head to Saturday’s clash with champions Manchester City having managed only 11 goals in their 13 Premier League matches to date this year.
The goal from #40million summertime signing Joelinton in Tottenham in August is that the only one.
However, having seen what Miguel Almiron, Allan Saint-Maximin and he perform in practice, the head trainer is convinced they can add their contributions and goals together.
Bruce stated:”They don’t miss here. It is like practising penalties – nine will be scored by that a pro out there. A different pro might score three out of 10. You can’t replicate it.
“Almiron, we thought,’Great, he has the winner for Paraguay, it will give him a little bit of confidence which a fantastic striker wants’, but unfortunately, it hasn’t happened for him.
“However, I think Almiron – and I wasn’t here – lit up Newcastle in January. From the moment he dinked the goalkeeper and then burst against Huddersfield and it struck the pole. There are many instances where it is hit on the post, hit the pub or the goalkeeper’s made a great save.
“The stark reality is that for all of us, however, for me, it is about the team. What I’ve got in my own disposal, I have been very pleased with the performances of Almiron in particular.
“He’s got the very best physical information. He works really difficult for the group, it’s amazing, which for me personally, is what it’s all about.”
Bruce has vowed to stay to Saint-Maximin, Almiron, 25, also Joelinton, who is 22, also pointed and shortage of expertise in the top flight of British football in a request for patience.
He explained:”The significant factor for me is they’re all young, they’re still learning their trade to a degree. When I said you they’re the same era as [Sean] Longstaff, who’s played 12 times, then it sets it into perspective just a little bit.
To their problems that were offensive, striker Andy Carroll has suffered a rib injury.
The 30-year-old will miss Saturday visit of Manchester City and also the degree of the issue is unknown.
Bruce will be relieved that this is not linked to Carroll’s ankle, which he has been the reason behind warning throughout his return and had surgery on in March.
Since re-signing to get a pay-as-you-play deal because of his hometown team, carroll has produced seven substitute appearances.
