The NHL is put up with a great deal of good action on Wednesday. Thirteen games of NHL hockey are all around the board in total for November 27. One of those matchups will be between the Nashville Predators and the Vegas Golden Knights. Both of these teams will try to keep up this with a triumph until Thanksgiving and have been off to solid starts this season. This game will begin time.
The Golden Knights have begun out the brand new season with a record of 11-11-4, which has them tied for sixth position in the Pacific Division. Vegas is just two points out of place. The Golden Knights have lost eight of the last ten and three games in a row. Vegas will seem to get back on track with a road triumph against the Predators.
Nashville is currently sitting in area of their Central Division standings with a list of much this season. The Predators are coming off back to back wins against the St. Louis Blues, but had lost six in a row prior to those 2 wins. Their roster boasts and nashville is not way from a playoff place, they will look to get back on course with a winning streak.
The Predators and the Golden Knights have both struck small slumps but they have strong teams to get out of this. Both of these teams will seem to return there and also have been in the playoffs the past two seasons. Vegas and Nashville will try to get a leg up night.
The Predators and the Golden Knights met up three times . Nashville hosted the first game of the season series and pulled off a 4-1 win. The next game changed to Vegas, where the Predators retreated a road win. The Golden Knights hosted again the last game, yet this period Vegas skated away with all the 5-1 win.
These two teams met once this year in Vegas on October 15. Mark Stone and Reilly Smith helped the Golden Knights jump into a lead in the first phase, but the game was controlled by the Predators then. Although 33 of the 35 shots stopped to help Nashville win 5-2 nick Bonino and Kyle Turris both had a goal and an assist.
Since Vegas first joined the league, they’ve gone 3-4 against the Predators. The Golden Knights will look to pull off a set of wins on the street against the Predators throughout this year and dropped their game at home against Nashville. Both teams are coming to this matchup just a bit cold, but they’ll seem to set the pace early.
The Golden Knights have managed to find success on special teams during this year despite their challenging start from the standings. Vegas has capitalized on 18 of their 83 power play opportunities, and it is a solid 21.7 percent success rate. The Golden Knights penalty kill has allowed 14 goals on 88 chances, which can be an 84.1% kill rate.
Nashville’s special teams have struggled throughout this season. The Predators power play has improved over last year, but it is under the league average. Nashville has scored 15 power play goals around 83 opportunities, which is 18.1 percent. The Predators penalty kill has allowed 21 goals on 75 chances, and it will be a 72 percent kill rate.
Vegas retains the advantage of special teams in this sport. The Golden Knights have the better punishment and the ability play kill over Nashville. The Predators will look to continue to try to work out some things that work to find the power play and penalty kill. I believe that they could pull off a win if Vegas could evaluate a power play goal or 2.
Marc-Andre Fleury is expected to get the start against the Predators on Wednesday night. Fleury has earned a record of 11-6-2 during his 19 starts. In these starts, he has made a save percentage of .919 along with a 2.54 GAA. Where he let 27 of the 31 shots he faced in path to a reduction, fleury’s last start came against the Edmonton Oilers.
I feel that Pekka Rinne will get the nod in the crease for Nashville. Rinne has posted a record of 8-4-2 in 14 starts this season. Rinne has set up a .889 save percentage and a GAA of 3.06. Rinne start was against the Vancouver Canucks. Because the Predators took a reduction he even allowed 5 goals on 17 shots.
Rinne has had a start to this year. He has submitted a save percentage below .900 in four consecutive games and five of the final six starts. Rinne sat for the Predators last two matches against the St. Louis Blues, but I expect to return in this one. In case Rinne can bounce back from sitting for about a week, then it might help provide Nashville the win.
I believe that the Golden Knights will rebound back out of this three game losing streak with a win in Nashville on Wednesday. Vegas retains an edge over the Predators. Fleury has put up much better numbers this year, while Rinne has struggled. I think they will win In the event the Golden Knights can control the speed of the game.
BetOnline has recorded as a -131 from the cash line. This suggests that the Predators will win this game around 56.7% of the time. I believe that this game needs to be much closer to even. Neither of these teams have looked great. I think that up their losing streak breaks in this one and pulls off the road mad.
