Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Swedish striker’s new bronze statue vandalised
The statue of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Malmo’s arena was vandalised on the afternoon it was announced he’d spent in a rival club.
The 3.5m bronze structure, commissioned by the Swedish FA, had been introduced just over a month past.
Earlier, the Swede said he had purchased 25 percent of the stocks next in this year championship.
“Several are believed to have vandalised it and coated it with paint,” said police spokesman Jimmy Morin.

The 38-year-old, that abandoned LA Galaxy in the conclusion of the MLS season, scored 62 goals in 116 appearances for Sweden and previously played for Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan, Paris St-Germain and Manchester United, having made his professional debut for Malmo 20 decades back.
Hammarby ended level on points by Malmo, third at the Allsvenskan season and one supporting winners Djurgardens.
